Nikki and Giddoo
Nikki sent me this photo a little while ago and I think it is awesome. That’s Nikki on the left and her grandfather, Edward David, on the right. Her grandfather is having a rough way to go healthwise right now, and it is great to look back at these photos and see him when he was young and strong.
Jackson Matthew Sliwa
Casey and Matt Sliwa’s baby was born today, October 6, 2007 at 4:48pm. His name is Jackson Matthew. He was born at Metro Hospital in Wyoming MI. He weighed in at a healthy 8lb 9oz, and measured 20in. Baby, mom and dad are all doing excellent. We are all ecstatic to finally meet Jackson.

Zach turned a year old on Monday July 30th. He had a party on Sunday and went out for the day with Mom and Dad on Monday. He had a blast. His family and friends came to watch hom eat cake and open presents. Most of the day he walked around in a sugar daze with no shirt on. He was in his glory. On Monday Nikki and I took him to the Detroit Zoo, where we saw all kinds of animals, then went to the fountain park at Metro Beach to cool off. I can honestly say that I have yet to experience a more rewarding day as a parent and as a human.
I guess it’s official
I guess Zach is now officially walking. After a month of coaxing him into taking 3 steps then 5 then 10, all of a sudden today he was just walking. Enjoy!
The Discovery
Zach, myself and Taylor were out for a walk. At the corner across from our house we found one of Zach’s pacifiers sitting on the sidewalk. It was like the sidewalk was nothing more than a part of our living room. We hadn’t been for a walk since Tuesday because of rain, and there it sat. It din’t hit me that this was kind of weird until after I picked it up, dusted it off, put it in the stroller and thought how I could get it in with the load of dishes I planned to do tonight.
